Recent Updates
I created a BroadCast Machine which I am currently using as a BitTorrent tracker for Thru The Bible. I have 4.7GB of mp3s which are incredible. You can also see a list of Torrent files here. Don't know what BitTorrent is? You don't know what you are missing! I redesigned my Photo Gallery using ThumbHTM, a really decent freeware product. I am especially proud of the new pictures in the Flowers And Bugs section. Check it out. In honor of my getting ready for abdominal surgery (gallbladder removal) I created the Technical Difficulties page. Enjoy! I noticed recently that my Guestbook was getting visited my spambots and other nasty crawlers. My traffic had climbed up almost up to 1Gb a month, and most of that is due to the spiders walking through every guestbook page. That is a lot of traffic, because I have tuned this website to be great for low-bandwidth browsing. I built a nifty little PHP function (CheckForScumware) that will re-direct these spiders to a page filled with bogus email addresses. It works great now, but I eventually will have it auto-generate fake emails, and include links back to itself. This will poison the spammers databases by filling them with bogus emails. Once I finish this, I will submit it to be included in the official Big Sam guestbook program. Note: One email address on the page is real. I created a yahoo account so I can see how long it takes for the spammers to scoop up the addresses. I keep getting emails telling me that I don't know how to spell Niagara. Well, they are right. I don't. Actually, now I do. I updated the webcams section to correct the spelling mistakes. Also the cussbuster is a complete success. I have updated the filters based on feedback from my friends. Thanks Guys! Wow, two news items in one day. Go figure! Go to my.mcevoy.ca to see what I have been up to recently. I updated the Hotlinks section, adding a link to the new Evidince Eliminator Sucks page. The old page was taken down due to a threatening letter by lawyers, but Eric will not give up the fight! Time sure flies...can't believe almost a whole year has gone by without much updates. Then again, by son Isaac was born, and he takes up the majority of my time. Anyway, a lot of nitwits like to swear in my guestbook (a lot) so I decided to build a swear-word filter. Being the crazy guy I am, I had to put a funny twist on it. I came up with the CussBuster, which is just a simple PHP function that I added to the Big Sam guestbook. After running the CussBuster a few weeks, and modifying the filters, I will fully incorporate it into the main guestbook, and even send the source code back to the Big Sam authors (since Big Sam is GPL'd) Great News! After an entire year of procrastinating, I finally sat down and got the Guestbook working! Big thanks to Big Sam! I updated the Webcams section, correcting a few broken links. I also added some more pages to the Banner Free Webpages section. Movie review, plus some nerdy news sites. Enjoy! I updated my Banner Free Webpages list. I created links for Reuters and AP news. I also included links to the NHL news, and Major League Baseball news. Am I good, or what? I finally added Maritime Webcams. It has webcams from all over eastern Canada. Some people have a problem with the distinction between "Maritime" and "Atlantic". I think these people suffer from some serious "Ontario" envy...hehehe I updated the Toronto Webcams section to include a new webcam of City Hall. Check it out. Incredible. One whole year goes by, and now here are two updates in two days. Am I on a roll or what? My friend Nick would not stop complaining about my new webpage, so I renamed it to Banner-Free Webpages, and tried to give better descriptions for each of the links. If you don't like the new page, blame him. I am so sick and tired of stupid banner ads, that I created a section that lists text-only websites (or those with very little graphics). The new section, Text Links is a collection of webpages that are intended to be used by wireless devices. As you recall, not many wireless devices can handle 800x600 flash animated graphics, so these pages do not have any. Pretty cool eh? Just go check it out. I know...I know...I missed an entire YEAR! What happened to 2001? Well, it sucked. So there. After many requests, I have created a section Abortion Methods. This page describes the various abortion methods that are currently in use. I added another news article to the Horror Stories page. This article describes how babies may feel pain during an abortion procedure. No suprise there! I updated my abortion section to include Find Help and information on Post Abortion Syndrome. I updated my HotLinks section to include Inspirational Poetry by Hans Raffelt and a great Christian resource 10 Reasons To Believe After weeks of struggling with a Perl script, I finally created my News-Updater! This tool will allow me to quickly create entries in my Truth In The News section. I can now keep that section up to date, simply by filling out a form. I no longer have to rely on time-consuming FTP. My hard work is finally paying off! I am now listed under Google, Netscape, and AOL search engines! I am getting over 200 visits per day now, many more than I ever thought possible. I give GOD all the credit! I put together the Montreal Webcams section. These webcam links are really quite pretty. Wow. Almost 3 months since I put up any new material. I promise that before the end of the summer I will have all kinds of juicy new material for all you wonderful fans. Check out my new cool section: Canadian Webcams. I added a new Hot Topic: Pornography - Destroyer of Souls. If you dabble in pornography, be warned! It is as addictive as any drug, and will stain your soul! I added a links section: Hot Links. Here you will find links to all sorts of web resources. If you want your site added, just send me the address! I put a funny little section up: Dinosaurs!. I am trying out a new method of adverstising my site. I am asking people to Email the URL of the dinosaur page, using their "joke" mailing lists. So far, 240 visitors have visited the page! Pretty neat, eh? I added another section in the abortion area: Horror Stories. This section will contain abortion-related news clippings. Believe it or not, I don't want to harp on the abortion issue forever. I have so many things I want to discuss, but I have to do it one step at a time. I added a section to the Abortion area: Flesh Trade. This new section describes in great detail the practice of trafficking in aborted baby flesh. I have scanned in a price list, and put up two interesting articles that I have found on the subject. I finished my mission statement. I was avoiding writing it, but it was a piece of cake one I actually started. I Fixed some links in the old photogallery section, and added a link to the Walk For Life gallery. I published my first major article: Abortion. This is under the section Hot Topics. Please read this section with an open heart. It is designed to change a person from being pro-death, to pro-life! Special thanks go to my friend Bruce, who is constantly inspiring me. Yipee! With a little bit of tinkering, and a lot of luck, I got the GuestBook portion running. My friend The Programming Genius put the code together for me. Go to his site, and see what he can do for you...He is amazing... I updated the 'About Me' Section. It took me a couple of days, but my testimony is finally there. Changed the format of the main page. Changed the format of the news page. Started to form the look and feel of the website. My good friend Nick, who created www.eezyart.com has been a great inspiration. Creation! To my surprise and pleasure, I was able to register the domain name. |
